Small, does not block other socket in outlet.
Verbal alarm is loud and describes the level of gas concentration, but not overly sensitive to have false alarms.
wish list......Would be nice if it had a WIFI link to send alarm to customers phone....piece of mind for elderly parents, or young kids.
Great product.

Haven't had any gas issues to know if it truly works but, from the test signal, I'd say it does. Would buy again

It's accurate and does provide peace of mind. However, anytime the power goes out we have to unplug it until we have time to reset it. Resetting it take a minute or two, but the annoying part is the alarm goes off every time. We had utility work being done so once a day the power would flicker and this thing drove us crazy during that time. Not ideal when we do not want it going off during storms.

I worry about gas leaks and this gives me a piece of mind! Nothing goes unnoticed

My nose is far more sensitive than this device. I purposely turned the gas on (with the windows open, of course) and waited. It never went off, but the stench was awful. So, I'm not sure if this is working or not, which means I don't know if I can trust it.

when you try to register the product it never sends the email.. I have tried plenty of times with multiple of email addresses and never received the confirmation..
Update: 29-07-2022
So the Support team have reached to me directly to confirm the warranty and have been in constant contact to ensure that I have a good experience with the product.
I will change my review to 5 start once I fully test the devices if I experience no issues..

Good product

Easy to set up. It makes me feel safer when I am in the house. However, this is a 2nd home for me. It is very limited as it does not send me any type of alert if I am away.
I wish you would come out with alarm that would send me an alert via smart phone (email or text). For example, I have water sensors that alert me to a water leak. Alarm sounds but most importantly I get a notification.
Woodcutter's Wife
I placed it this unit about ~1 mtr from ceiling as suggested. I placed it near the gas range, placed it near the floor, does not matter. It does not work.

This was a very easy alarm to use and good looking to. I would highly recommend you buy this one of your looking

Couldn't place in recommended location. Couldn't get to pass gas test. Didn't work for me.

FAILED 2 for 3 tests with gas, smoke, and co2/co.
That blue ring always flashes and can not be set to only flash on an alarm state, so kind kills any romantic lighting at the kitchen table.
Jumanji
Not sensitive enough in my opinion
Easy to install and looks good

The state of ME recently required a alarm for gasses if renting your house. Ordered these and working great so far. Just plug in, it self tests, and goes into monitoring mode. Plug and play!

I had very high hopes for this but when none of my outlets in my kitchen would allow this to be plugged in without an adapter, I had to write this review.
The first plug I tried was in a power strip but the unit was too big. I tried 2 other outlets and again it would not fit, too close to the wall. Had to buy an adapter which should be INCLUDED for better fit when outlet space is at a premium. Once I fix this issue it should be perfect. My father is up in years and can't smell gas. He bumps the stove sometimes and, well I hope this gives me and my wife some peace of mind. It talks so maybe that is a plus.

Do not buy this product. I had a gas leak in my laundry room, I smelled it, I had a handheld detector that detected the leak, this product didn’t detect it.
Ken Smith
Easy to install. No false alarms. Nicely designed and goes well with our decor.
Randle Stearns
Just plug in and relax
DMH
Just placed the unit in service in our vacation home. Installation couldn't be easier. Simply plug it in. It talks to you and tells you what it's doing. The printed insturctions are simple and well written. Just be sure to remove the clear plastic film that covers the front of the sensor. Great product.
Brian Bower
Very easy to use. Just plug it into an electrical outlet. It is very easy to hear and understand the alarms.
Allan Pettit
Very easy to set-up and was delivered in two days after our camper filled up with propane from a leaking stove burner.

Installed this because my wife has lost the ability to smell the natural gas. Installed exactly has shown in the manufacturer's photo in an outlet on the left side of the stove. Testing it with an open and unlit burner, the unit quickly detected the natural gas and gave the warning.
Ricus
Not very good

A burner on my stove has turned itself on 2x this week. Did I bump it maybe??? But the Gas Detector let me know it was on. Great investment. Airing out the house now.
J. P. Hilker
I recently had a new LP gas stove installed, and thought that I smelled gas. I bought this, and since LPG is heavier than air, I put it on an extension cord and placed it next to the various gas connectors over a week and nothing happened (apart from the blinking light). I could still smell the gas, so I ordered a Techamor Y201 and it alerted me to a leak at the gas line coming from the copper pipe/flex connector.
It may work for natural gas, but it may kill you if you if you have LP.
Dolly
So far, I am not disappointed with what led me to purchase it.

Nothing is 100% safe but this detector comes pretty close. My Old English Mastiff almost poisoned me to death pushing the knob on my gas stove while licking the knobs (we saw his slobber evidence)
I did not smell the gas leaking, and even had a candle lit in another room!!!. My husband came home and was alarmed to smell gas and blew out the candle, started opening windows. I was on the couch almost passed out.
I have this alarm by our gas stove, also bought a hand detector one that you can use around pipes to detect gas leaks. I highly recommend having one of these and replacing it every 5 years. Test it often
Shamoproducts
It isn't working correctly, it's triggering alarm even where is no gasses. Move to different home still triggering alarm.
Dani
So we've always wondered if this thing works.... We have it plugged in in the kitchen just incase. Well the kitchen wall is a shared wall with the garage and our son put his running car in the garage the other day, (we don't usually keep cars in the garage), and the alarm in the kitchen started blaring "gas leak" "gas leak" ..... It was like midnight so we were freaked out a bit, but glad to see that it was able to alert us :)

Easy install and start up. Have not tested the device just yet but seems promising so far over all of the other propane LP detectors out there.

There is some trust you have to place in this product because it is hard to test in real-world situations.
They also released a new model soon after my purchase. I wish I was offered an upgrade price.

Good instructions. Easy set up.
Jess
Setup is quick and easy, instructions are concise. I’ve got LPG, so it conveniently plugs into my hallway wall outlet (12-18 inches above the floor. May be trickier if you use natural gas and would need to locate an outlet nearer the ceiling.) Slim, sleek design. Additionally, I tested it by releasing a small amount of gas from a lighter and it did quickly trigger the alarm, so it seems to function appropriately.
Mr. Velocity
I put 2 of these in the house after my wife thought she smelled gas. A few months later I get a call while at work and all I hear is this thing screaming in the background. My wife ended up calling 911 to be safe and PG&E came out to check the gas lines. Fortunately, the gas line was fine and all turned out well. Turns out it picked up the methane gas that burped out of the sewer line running under the house (house is a older cripple wall not a slab). So, it WILL pick up gas...it just may be gas coming from something that's not your gas line. Either way, it did its job.

My elderly mother's kitchen.

The alarm went off. Called Con Ed (gas supplier). Fire department equipment wasn’t sensitive enough to pick it up. Con Ed did find a small leak in my boiler that while small could have if left long enough blown up my house. What’s funny is the people at the fire department and Con Ed thought having a detector was unusual. It seems to me it should be as common as a smoke or CO detector.
MariaS
The alert was going off this summer when the gas was not on and all the windows were open in the house. I have not plugged it in again recently. I will try again after the holidays while it is winter. If the same thing happens again, I will consider it a dud.

Easy to use , install and self calibrating accurate , testes with a ligther and activate quick

Can’t really speak to if it works since I haven’t had a gas leak. It is very annoying tho. First off it has two bright blue lights that flash about every 5 seconds. When trying to sleep at night it is very distracting and bothersome. Secondly it has this loud screeching voice that says‘warming up’ several times when plugged in. When the electricity went out and came back on in the middle of the night this thing started screeching. Let’s just say it’s not how you want to get woken up lol. I would rather one that just has an alarm.
JOHN JACOB JENGLE HYMER SMITH
Bought 3 of these and one gave a false reading after a month , there was no gas leak ?? They look nice , but I would never buy them again .

It works great. Customer support is also great and responds promptly.

Very Happy Customer
Let's hope it won't come to it going off

My wife and I lost our sense of smell due to having COVID in January of 2021.
Not great, but not a big deal while our kids were home.
Now that they are at college, we became concerned we might not smell a gas leak.
GasKnight seemed the best option.

This gas detector is really an amazing device, in this world of difficult to set up devices: plug it in, it goes through its self test process, and it’s ready to go. Of course, I did the set up testing as recommended in the manual, but that didn’t tell me for certain that it would work where I installed it (see picture), which is lower than ideal from the ceiling. Then today I got the request to rate it, so what the heck, I turned on the gas without lighting the burner to see if it would work for real. I had the gas on for maybe 10 seconds before I could smell the mercaptan. Then another 10 seconds went by, and suddenly the initial warning voice came on about a suspected gas leak, followed by the really raucous alarm. Instead of pressing the test button to shut it off, I ventilated the kitchen, and very soon the alarm stopped. Overall, I’m impressed.
I’ve had gas stoves for many years, and occasionally I’ve turned on the gas without the burner lighting—carelessness on my part. I’ve even had a gas leak from a faulty installation. In each case, the mercaptan smell alerted me to the leak, but as I’ve gotten older, my sense of smell has diminished. So I thought this gas detector would be a good idea, and I’m glad to say that it is actually more than I expected. It is relatively sensitive, and there’s no mistaking its alarm for something else!

After our local utility company announced it would be installing natural gas detectors by their meters, I realized I also needed something to detect leaks by the gas fireplace in our living room and the water heater and furnace in the utility room. This fit the bill.
Diguang Qiu
very easy to install. alarm is loud enough. but it will be better if the 3 alert stages could have different alarm.

Thank you

I have had this for two years next to the propane range. It goes off if the stove is accidentally turned on without lighting. Recently it was going off and we can’t smell or figure out why. I moved it all around the house but it still went off. I thought it was defective and ordered another one but it’s going off too so I’m pretty sure I have an issue now. This was yesterday so more to come.

Worked one time which was a good thing but it stuck in alarm even when I plugged it in outside.
Looks like a internal relay is sticking

This item does not work! I bought it because I could swear I smelled natural gas in the house, even though no one else (including the fire department) did. I set two of them up as directed, and neither of them registered the presence of natural gas. I thought I must be imagining it — but several days later a guest came over and told us she smelled gas. So we called the gas utility, who sent someone out to check — They found multiple leaks!!!
Now, these leaks may have been minor, hence some people smelling it, others not, and the fire department missing it — Yet if these detectors miss it altogether at a low level, then I have no confidence that they would work at a high level either.
Unsafe!!!!
