AirKnight protects your indoor air quality by measuring different levels of available pollutants (e.g., Carbon Dioxide, AQI, VOCs, Formaldehyde, Particulate Matter 2.5 and 10, Temperature and Humidity).

How do I get started using my AirKnight AK1000?

You can use AirKnight by following these 3 simple steps:

  1. Press the power button for 2 seconds to turn on the air quality monitor.
  2. Wait 5-10 minutes for it to warm-up.
  3. Enjoy the added benefits of having an AirKnight in your home.

Where in my home should I place my AirKnight?

It is recommended that any AirKnight detector is placed indoors in the areas where you and your family spend the most time (i.e., bedroom, office, living room, etc.) or in an indoor area where there may be questionable / compromised air quality.

Is the AirKnight air quality monitor portable?

Yes, the AirKnight air quality monitor is a portable monitor used by air quality professionals. It can be taken with you to the office, in your car, or at your workplace. It is recommended to keep the AK1000 indoors.

Does AirKnight have an app or require a WIFI Connection?

AirKnight air quality readings are displayed on one simple and easy-to-read LCD screen. After researching WIFI detectors, we found that the software for most is overly complex, usually unnecessary, and sometimes unreliable. The AirKnight keeps air detection simple, the way it should be. As a result, you stay stress and headache free.

Does this monitor also purify air?

AirKnight protects your air by keeping you informed which pollutants are a problem / threat to your health. The AirKnight AK1000 does not purify or filter air.

Does this monitor come with batteries?

Yes, the AirKnight AK1000 comes with a heavy duty 3000 mAh rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery.

Can AirKnight be used outdoors?

AirKnight is specially designed to identify harmful pollutants which are typically concentrated in indoor air. It is NOT recommended to use the AirKnight outdoors for extended periods of time.

What size particulate matter does it measure?

Particulate matter (PM) can also be referred to as dust particles or dust matter. The AirKnight AK1000 air quality monitor detects Particulate Matter that measure 10 µg/m³ and 2.5 µg/m³ in diameter (aka PM2.5 and PM10).

Does AirKnight help in detecting mold?

The AirKnight AK1000 is NOT a mold test kit nor does it directly detect mold. However, it does detect indoor air pollutants that may come from mold; Particulate Matter - PM 2.5, PM 10, and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) as well as humidity which can be used to prevent / control mold growth.

Can the AK1000 detect natural gas or propane leaks?

The AirKnight AK1000 does NOT detect natural gas or propane. For natural gas or propane detection, the GasKnight Original, GasKnight Pro or GasKnight 2.0 natural gas detectors are recommended.

Does the AirKnight device have an air filter that requires replacement?

No, this device does not contain a filter and does not require any pieces to be maintained or replaced.

Where is the AK1000 made?

Unlike most other air detector companies, the AirKnight is an American company. Like every single other air detector company, our products are manufactured abroad.
