Just got it and. put it to the test. Picked up my camera outside my door as I stood inside the house near it. Picked up my cell phone and 2 other camera we have in the house. You have to be close to it so you do have to sweep areas.

Ok, I watched the video and read the manual before using this Knight Premium Hidden Devices Detector and, while it still takes practice and patience, it works pretty well. I made sure to test it in a room where there's no WIFI or other electronics running, even closed the blinds. The little cam detector is easy-peasy and detected my body cam in stealth mode right away. But as for my phone and other recording devices, it took a lot of adjusting the sensitivity settings and moving back and forth. Even Jim (Knight Security Rep in the instructional video) had to do the same thing and he knew where the devices he used as examples were located. It did detect the tracker my friend has on her daughter's car as well. It will take some time to sweep hotel and AirBnBs, which is why I ordered this unit. As suggested in the manual, I'll sweep the rooms and also leave the unit on while unpacking or something because it does not detect spying devices if they're not turned on. I'm wondering how well this will work when I'm in a hotel, for example, and their WIFI's running, etc. Cameras could be hidden in these devices as well, so adjusting the sensitivity will definitely play a role. I'm still glad I ordered it and loving the tiny cam detector which fits in my purse.

If you're looking for a portable device to detect RF from devices this will certainly do the trick. It's small and portable enough once you break it down (take off the antenna). The camera scan tool is a bit cheesy, just a red lense that makes camera lenses have a glint for you to detect them.My single biggest complaint is the proprietary charging cable. While it's USB on one end, it's a 5v barrel plug on the other. Why not simply use micro-USB or USB C. You know, the types of cables that everyone has laying around? If this dies and you don't have the cable you're done. That's the primary reason for the 3 stars. The online advertisement says it detects infrared, but it does not.

I'm usually skeptical about devices of this type. Most of the time they look and feel like a toy for people who want to play 'secret agent'. This device, however, is clearly superior in quality--better construction, more robust functionality, multiple detection modes, etc. My thinking has always been that anyone who has to worry about being under surveillance likely knows how to detect and/or evade it. I guess having a little bit of technological help doesn't hurt. I tested it with a hidden GPS device. I gave it to my wife and told her she could decide a) whether to hide it in one of our cars and b) which car to hide it in. I also told her that she could do (or not do) the action she decided any time in the next seven days. That way it wouldn't be obvious that the device was there, when it was placed there, etc. This detection device sniffed it out like nobody's business. Obviously, there's plenty of scenarios of greater difficulty and complexity but in my simple test it worked great. If you're worried about this sort of thing, this seems like a small to pay for added security. Highly recommended!

We travel a lot and wanted to be able to sweep our room for any weird recording devices! This hidden device detector is a wonderful tool for just that! I read the directions and watched the video and tested it out and it works great! I know it is going to take some practice for me to be efficient in using this device, but so far, so good. I can't wait to sweep our next hotel room. This thing is awesome!

I travel about 3 weeks a month so I have been enjoying my Knight Security detector. It has many practical uses along with screening for tracking and listening devices along with hidden camera detection. In my one real need I dropped my air tag equipped keys in my hotel room. While the room is not so big, they had been under the bedframe, hidden by the skirt of the bed.It is just a spot where most hotel beds block objects from rolling or being pushed under the bed. In my case, the Knight device was more useful than my older iPhone XSMAX which does not offer the newest pin point accuracy or the arrows to help guide you. Once I turned on the Knight detector, I set it in the hallway to get a good neutral reading of the baseline threshold. After entering the room, it was already picking up RF signals so I did a sweep and the detector was loudest at a point near the night table and under the bed were my keys.I took the liberty of sweeping my rooms in all my hotel stays, for me, it is just another interesting aspect of my traveling. A cool conversation piece that works!

I decided to test this in my house to start with. It easily detected my video doorbell, 2 security cameras as well as my phone and iPad. I haven't had an opportunity to do much more with it but to me the test was a success.

The KNIGHT Premium Hidden Devices Detector seems to work well at finding hidden devices and finding hidden cameras. Set up was fairly easy, and I definitely recommend watching their video on how to set up the device properly and how to use it. I scanned my entire house and didn't find anything hidden (fortunately), but the KNIGHT premium hidden devices detector did make a noise when it was near my airtags. The Camera finder was pretty cool too. It definitely found all of the pet cams I have in the house, which gives me peace of mind when it comes to hotel rooms.

This product arrived quickly and in minimal packaging waste. The product actually worked, I thought it would be difficult to understand and use but its not. As soon as I turned it on it picked up my phone and also picked up the camera on my bird feeder right by my window. there are youtube videos to help you understand the product and how to use it but like i said it was extremely easy to understand and use.

I really like this RF (radio frequency) Detector! First off, the device itself feels very well made and doesn't feel cheap. This really feels like a heavy duty professional RF detector. It does a great job picking up on anything that gives off RF - including cameras. It's extremely easy to use and setup. If you need the instructions, they are there and are easy to follow. It has a built in rechargeable battery and the battery life is pretty good. In this day and age where people can put cameras literally everywhere, it's not a bad idea to have one of these especially when you're travelling and in new places. This isn't something I use too often, but I love the idea of having this around in case something feels a little off. All things considered, this product works as described and it does a really nice job.

The media could not be loaded. ‚ I have tested a few device detectors for security purposes, and the overall build quality on this is top-tier. Works right out of the box, it comes with everything I need to get started, and the device itself looks and feels durable. This is great for testing for devices that are hidden in a rental stay or hotel room. It's pretty accurate and responds when I point it at my security cameras. Worth.

I m a tech guy, and this thing is cool. It works as advertised. It will detect anything emitting radio waver or which is magnetic. I also comes with a gizmo to make it easier to see camera lenses, even if they are hard wired and emit no radio waves. The only real weak spot I have found is with devices which record internally to a memory card but don't emit radio waves. Even then, a camera lens will be detected. It didn't seem to see my phone if it was on airplane mode. Lots of fun, and useful when traveling or other places where you want to make sure you are private. The weak spot in hotels is the slot under the door. Someone with a bore camera can slide the camera end under the door from the hallway. For that, put a suitcase in front of the slot.

I bough this mostly to play around with but also to use when I travel for work since I work in the aerospace industry. You never know when someone might be performing corporate spying and this little gem allows me to sweep my hotel rooms.

I am still figuring out everything with these but they seem to find things pretty easily. I have no complaints at all.

You have to realize that this is a very general tool (sensors) marketed for a very specific purpose. It consists of an RF detector (receiver) and a magnetic field detector. There is also a camera IR detector. There is really an art to using any detector or this type and it will require lots of practice, and time to get the sweeping technique down in order to be useful. What I liked- Sturdy metal construction (RF/MF) - (IR detector is plastic)- High quality dials and controls (RF/MF)- Comes with charger and cables- Company based in the USA. Not easy to use- Documentation and instructional video are minimal- No instruction on what the Auto mode is or even how to use it. They just say its for advanced use- Sensors do not give directional notification (just present and not present)- I found that the magnetic detector tip has to be about 2 inches away from the magnet to signal, so you really have to cover every square inch of the car and you will find many false positives.- You have to look directly at a hidden camera lens to see the IR dot

I'm not a pro, just a gadget guy and I wanted an updated toy! I have a number of this type of stuff. My old unit only went up to the 2.4ghz range. This unit includes the 5ghz range, claiming it goes up to 12ghz. My old unit uses an internal nicad battery that's always drained. This one uses lithium and seems to hold a charge so that's good. I had some fun going around the house sniffing my wireless units along with playing with the magnet detector near my refrigerator. Great fun! When I used to work, I used equipment like this solely to figure out how my employer was spying on me (they were). As a retired person, it's a fun toy. Build quality was much better than I expected. Note: written doc mentions "infrared" camera detector - it's really just "red". I think that's just a translation issue.

The media could not be loaded. ‚ I bought this after seeing a review on YouTube. I was amazed with the broad range of frequencies that can be detected (1Mhz to 12Ghz). I have been looking for something like this, on and off, for years! Every time I saw one that had a frequency range even close to the KT9000 it cost in the thousands! This is so easy to use. There is one knob for each function. To use, you simply lower the sensitivity until the sound stops, and as you get closer to the source the sound begins again. By moving forward and continuing to slightly lower the sensitivity, you center in on the device that's either watching or listening to you. It is extremely well made, and has an aluminum case, NOT plastic. Kudos to Knight on the KT9000. Is an amazing RF detector.

I have only just begun using and testing this Knight Premium Hidden Devices Detector that is a highly specialized piece of electronic equipment .During the proprietary testing and setting up I was able to determine that it seems to be demonstrating excellent performance characteristics. Excellence in the areas of of sensitivity and frequency coverage. Just hearing the detection of a lot of RF trash is normal, but how well it will discriminate and settle down for a local concentrated scan of a specific group of frequencies but during the initial testing I can say so far so good.Too soon to say how well the battery holds up but common sense would say normal in that regard for the device draws very nominal current. I gave it a full charge, set the sensitivity to minimum, and then left it on overnight. Eight hours later I took readings from the exact wqm3 powi5ion on static or fixed targets and I could perceive of no change in performance.I have observed that it is sensitive to RF transmission of the least of levels That is exactly what you will be looking for. My earbuds are a great example of this sensitivity. They are Bluetooth connected. The device emitted a constant tone when brought in near proximity to the earbuds. The lens for the laser lens to lens shoot is a little odd but still not a detraction it works well...easily spotting both the lens and then also the Radio Frequency (RF) emission from that bluetooth connected camera.Pretty decent performance for an inexpensive detector.Controls and switches move smoothly. No detectable dropouts. Very nice to have good quality controls. The case is metal, not sure what kind of metal but for sure it is metal. Good protection for the printed boards within.I will come back to this review with an edit to show how the hidden Camera detector can spot a lens.Suffice to say, it is nice equipment that provides what a person needs for privacy and security IF you use common sense and the process of elimination. A modicum of technical knowledge can also be considerably advantageous. Specifically it is good to know what type of bugs for which you will be or should be looking. At present it would seem to be a really nice little buggy go-go. I will be interested to see how many bugs I can find in this large apartment building. Some warranted some not so. It is the 'not so' that will be the targets of my searches. First, in my own apartment and then in the apartment of friends. For the record, clean sweeps so far.Five Stars for the Knight detector. Modest , all the important features. To sweep, detect, isolate, locate, and eliminate a bug. It has solid construction AND IN MY OPINION quite sufficient battery life.Tip:Does a single primary clean sweep assure your privacy? No, it may not because bugs can be turned off remotely. If you learn to use this KInight bug detection tool and develop proficiency with all of the important features, you should be able to secure some real piece of mind and cherished privacy.Get one, they are really fun to use.Modest , for a nice piece of newer type electronic wizardry....good value...yup, five stars all the way.

I have a friend that has been stalked by her ex for some time now, and we had our suspicions that her vehicle had tracking devices attached. We had tried some other less expensive detection devices, and they all were pretty much gimmicky devices that did not actually work very well (or at all). When I received this unit, I noticed right out of the box that this was a well-made kit that may actually work. It comes with clear instructions on how to use it and they even have a video you can watch online to walk you through the process of how to use both detection devices. I charged the unit overnight and followed all the prep instructions to do a scan of her vehicle. I have to admit that the results and effectiveness exceeded my expectations fully (as I have good reason to be skeptical due to the prior failures of other devices tried). The device is easy to use as long you follow the instructs and familiarize yourself with the proper instruction provided. With this device, we located two small tracking tile devices (one AirTag and one Tile) that had been concealed in her vehicle. I was amazed at how easy it was to use the detector and she was relieved to know that her vehicle is now from the trackers he was using to spy on her. I must also say that using the magnetic attachment to find devices attached in that manner actually works also as she had an old Hide-A-Key attached to her bumper that she had totally forgotten about that was detected by the attachment for magnetic fields. In this day and time, there are so many cameras watching everyone's every move, I decided to test the camera detector's effectiveness. It worked perfectly. I was able to identify several hidden cameras that I and my friends have at our homes. We were also able to catch that my friend's teenage son had given them a clock as a present for Xmas that had a tiny camera and mic in it so he could spy on them without them knowing (something to think about for all of you parents out there, and it was NOT located in their bedroom before anybody gets the wrong idea) as he is at that age he constantly gets in trouble and wants a heads up before they come to confront him about one of his misdeeds (pretty clever if you ask me so he could get a story ready before they confronted him, LOL). Now all my friends are asking me to check their vehicles, offices, & homes for any devices that they may not know about. I am extremely pleased with this device and highly recommend it to anybody that suspects they may be the victim of eavesdropping or just want peace of mind. This is definitely a case of you getting what you pay for, and those cheap gimmicky devices just don't work where this one does perfectly.

Product performs as advertised. I tested it out on my cellphone, tablet (I need to check my GPS settings) and even used it to show 5he apartment complex repairman that my microwave oven was broken. The camera detector wasn't in the package but the vendor promptly shipped me one when I contacted them about it. That device works well too.
James
I've seen super cheap gimmicky products that claim to do the same thing (though they don't work), and I'm so glad to finally find something that will give me confidence that we aren't being watched or listened to when traveling. The handheld scanner has some serious heft, no plastic case here! Dials turn and fine tune easily, battery life is great, it actually WORKS, and the IR eyepiece is super cool and useful. My wife and I stayed the night at a hotel in NC, and everything checked out...we've been together long enough to where my bringing along a device like this is not considered "unusual"...for me at least :)Love it & highly recommend it.

I'll admit that I'm a first time user of a tool like this so it took me some time to understand what in the world I was doing. After reading the reviews and doing some online research, I decided to try this brand. It's a great tool and once it all make sense, you'll see why this is the way to go.For beginners, they also offer you a video crash course that's very explanatory on how the scanner works and what each button means. There's also written instructions.Try it, and if it doesn't work for you, return it. But I think you'll keep it.

We experienced excellent and professional service. The Knight product works flawlessly. Buy with complete confidence. We plan on buying for this seller again. The product was well designed and the battery life is good.

This hidden device detector by Knight is well built and has a broad range to detect devices. The build is exceptional consisting of mostly aluminum. Battery life is more than enough providing around 20 to 30 hrs per charge. I tested this out on a wide range of gadgets and it managed to detect them all with precision. Fits nicely in the hand which makes its perfect for travel.

I've had issues with maintaining the least of expectations in a world with so many violating the basic rights. This product has proved to help protect my privacy or discover where it has been breached. Excellent Customer Service.

This is the real deal ! I use this for when i use Airbnb . The customer service is excellent . I spoke with Jim and he the took time to explain every feature to me . The build quality is phenomenal . I could not recommend more !

First unit was defective. This one GREAT with rapid EXCELLENT customer service.

Too complicated to work with. It's not easy to use

Love this device. I wish I had it sooner. Comes in handy when traveling for sure.

In general, hidden camera detectors are not easy types of products to use, but Knight Security has great customer support including a step-by-step video which was a huge help. There's even a phone number you can call which is rare nowadays. But you can really tell you're buying from an American company. High Quality Device. Clear instructions.

I decided I wanted to get a hidden devices detector for when I frequent different hotels and I wasn't sure what to look for or which one to get. I didn't go cheap cuz I wanted something good. One thing's for sure though: it's a complex product with buttons and antennas and the whole 9. But this Knight hidden camera detector had a super clear quick start video which made it pretty easy to figure out. So far so good!
Maria Espinoza
I wasn't sure which radio frequency detector to go with at first, but I think I made the right choice with the KT 9000 because it could detect radiation from my smart meter from about 50 feet away.
Keith S
This little anti spy device is probably one of the coolest gadgets I own. Besides being a great bug detector with impressive RF range, it also has magnetic detection. I can sweep a hotel room or AirBNB in minutes. It's just great tool to be SURE you have absolute privacy or aren't being tracked. It can detect video cameras, listening devices, gps trackers, etc. pretty much anything that emits radio or magnetic waves. Mine included a camera discovery scanner. You'll also have an new appreciation for the radio frequency or magnetic fields in your home. I bet you never stand in front of the microwave again!
Luz
My wife and I finally feel safe and have complete peace of mind now that we scanned our home and cars with this bug detector and made sure nobody was spying on us or listening in on our conversations. Plus, this RF detector has some weight to it and you can tell it's well made.
Kenneth Cervera
This little gadget is an absolute GEM! So, I originally bought this (and this sounds paranoid) to take with me whenever I visit AirB&Bs to make sure there's no hidden camera or recording devices. Good news, I haven't found any yet;) But the peace of mind this device has brought me was WELL worth the cost. Also, an added bonus, my son has so much fun scanning for "bugs" and has officially taken control of the detector to ensure our house is safe. Also the instruction video made it super easy to setup and all I can say is.. I'm a fan
Judith
Works great for someone who travels a lot. My husband likes knowing that his hotel rooms and AirB&Bs are without RF interference and safe from unwanted technology. He travels a lot to remote areas and other countries and this tool makes me feel better about his safety.
Dennis Bryar
This device quite honestly is a waste of money. Even in the video review, which I should've paid more attention to, the person had a hard time identifying targets. There's really no consistency when you scan over surfaces. You can adjust the volume because you think you have false readings and then you won't get a reading. I'm a little frustrated to believe something like this would work honestly. What was I thinking. And I don't know if it's the manufacturers fault. They're trying the best they can to produce a product that fits within a budget and I'm sure they're limited as a result. I'm sure they mean well, but there was no value driver for me with this purchase.
